A couple of months ago, I read and participated in an on-line read along for Brandon Sanderson’s epic fantasy novel Mistborn. I enjoyed the novel and the conversation so when Carl V announced he’d decided to continue the read-along for the next two novels in the series, I eagerly agreed.
This time around, Carl has proposed the idea of making it a blog tour read-along event. Each week’s conversation will be hosted by a different book blogger. I’m really looking forward to visiting not only the host site each week but also all the old and new friends as we discuss the second novel The Well of Ascension.
Carl is kicking off the tour this week over at Stainless Steel Droppings. He’s got some interesting things to say about the first section of the novel. This week’s discussion is a bit more free-form and without any opening questions. Before I get into my thoughts on the first section, let me warn you that if you’ve not read Mistborn and the first section of The Well of Ascension, there will be SPOILERS here.
After five weeks, the group read of Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn is coming to a close. Hosted by Carl over at Stainless Steel Droppings, this week’s final set of questions covers the last portion of the book.
Since the last section was so full of revelations, plot twists and turns and other such jaw-droppers, Carl decided it would be torture to make everyone wait a week to discuss the final pages of the novel. So, this week’s installment hits the web early.
Just a reminder that if you haven’t read the book and would like to read it without SPOILERS, stop reading now. There are major SPOILERS ahead!
Here are this week’s questions…
We’re in the home stretch of Brian Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn and all I can say is, wow, things are picking up steam in a big way. (The pages just flew by this week and I’ve enjoyed the book so much that it feels like we’ve just started rather than that we’re finishing up next week! Whatever will I do on Wednesdays without the conversation with fellow readers?!?)
It’s the fourth week of the Mistborn read-along, kindly hosted by Carl at Stainless Steel Droppings. This week’s questions come from Lynn.
The questions here cover chapters 25-34 and if you haven’t read the book yet, I will warn you there are SPOILERS! I know there was that article a couple of years ago about how avoiding SPOILER can be futile because no one can read or watch every single thing out there. But if you plan to read the novel, I highly recommend going in unSPOILED. Cause, man, it’s some good stuff.
OK, enough of that. Onto the questions.
It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for the latest round of discussion in the Mistborn Read-Along. We’re reading the first installment in Brian Sanderson’s epic fantasy series. The read-along is organized by Carl over at Stainless Steel Droppings and this week’s questions are courtesy of Grace at Books Without Any Pictures. If you want to participate or see other responses to the questions, drop by either or both of their blogs. And while you’re there, thank them for doing this for us!
This week, we’re looking at chapters 16-25. Things are starting to heat up!
And now, onto the questions….
It’s time for the mid-week conversation about Brian Sanderson’s fantasy epic Mistborn. This week’s questions were provided by TBM and cover chapters 7-15 in the novel.
And it’s never too late to jump into things! You can find out more about the read along and find links to other responses at Stainless Steel Droppings.
Now, onto week two’s questions.
During the recent Lies of Locke Lamora Read-Along, I stumbled across a read-along for Brian Sanderson’s Mistborn: The Last Empire. Like Locke Lamora, Mistborn has been languishing on my TBR shelf for a while now and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to read it and enjoy some conversation and insights with fellow readers.
So, here’s the first week’s set of questions, that covers the first six chapter in the book.
This week’s questions come from Carl at Stainless Steel Geeks.
