It’s been a while since I posted the latest installment of the All Good Things Star Trek Podcast. Part of it is a hiatus we took due to real-world stuff interfering with recording.
This week, Barry and I look at kids on Star Trek. This shouldn’t be confused with one of our earliest podcasts when we examined having kids on the Next Generation Enterprise. This time out we look at some of kids and teens who graced our screens over the nearly fifty year run of Star Trek. Of course, we’ll get into Wesley Crusher (with shout-outs to Wil Wheaton, in case he wants to either comment on the show or maybe be a celebrity interview on a future installment), Alexander, Jake Sisko, Nog, Naomi Wildman and the Borg kids.
So if you want to get back in touch with your inner child, give this week’s installment a listen. You can listen and/or download it HERE or try listening directly below.
On this installment of the All Good Things, A Star Trek Podcast, Barry and I take the moment to look at a couple of recently published tie-ins to the final frontier.
We look at the second collection of New Visions comics, the latest rebooted Trek-verse crossover The Q Gambit and the novel Takedown.
What do we think of them all? You’ll have to listen to find out!
And a word of warning — yes, there are SPOILERs for all of these contained within!
On this week’s installment of All Good Things: A Star Trek Podcast, Barry and I delve into the early days of Starfleet General Order Number One, better known as the Prime Directive.
We focus on the development of the Prime Directive in Enterprise and then how it was used (or ignored) by Captain James T. Kirk in the original series.
Was TOS consistent in the use of the Prime Directive? And was Kirk justified in breaking it all those times? And should Enterprise have dealt more with why future crews would need General Order One?
All this and more on this week’s installment! You can download it via the link above or listen below.
This week, Barry and I discuss some of the Star Trek video games we’ve played over the years. And no, we haven’t played them all.
Take a trip down memory lane with us as we share our thoughts, memories and frustration with just a few of the games including the Vectrex game based on TMP, to the Promethian Prophecy, the Kobyashi Alternative and the infamous 25th Anniversary Game.
And don’t forget to let us know if we’ve missed your favorite!
This week, Barry and I look back at twenty years of the fourth Star Trek series, Star Trek: Voyager.
We debate things like was Seven of Nine a good idea and discuss our memories of the crew’s journey home from the Delta Quadrent.
Based on our conversation, this probably won’t be the last time we discuss Voyager on the podcast. In fact, I’m doing a Voyager re-watch and I’ve come up with at least two or three more points I should have made during this episode!
So, surf on over and tune in for episode 27 of the All Good Things Podcast.
Or you can listen right here (the episode runs about an hour and twenty minutes)’
