Booking Through Thursday: Books With You

btt button

Do you carry a book around with you? Inside the house? Whenever you go out? Always, everywhere, it’s practically glued to your fingers?

(And yes, digital books very much DO count as long as you’re spending time reading on your Kindle or iPad and not just loading them with books that you never actually read.)

With the Kindle app on my phone, I can have a book with me everywhere I go. And the best part is that as long as I’ve updated to the cloud on my various devices, I can start in the same place I left off no matter which device I’m using. That’s a very cool feature.

I tend to have a paperback with me somewhere as well for most places I go. You never know when you might have time to read something!

  1. I was lamenting only yesterday that all the books I was currently reading were either hardcovers or a fat paperback, none of which would fit in my purse. Since I didn’t want to start a new book on my reader, I crammed the paperback in.

A few weeks ago I had to make a quick run into town and didn’t take anything to read. Picked up my purse and it was so light it almost flew up and out of my hands.

  2. I have always wondered about men carrying around big things like books. Men don’t carry purses, so they don’t have a ready-made carrier. Do you carry yours in your hand, or are you a messenger bag/”go bag” kind of guy?

  3. I prefer not to read on my phone because the screen is so small, so I usually don’t use it for reading. But it is nice to know it’s there if I am desperate and forgot to bring a book or my e-reader with me!
