Booking Through Thursday: Winter Reading

btt button

The northern hemisphere, at least, is socked in by winter right now… So, on a cold, wintry day, when you want nothing more than to curl up with a good book on the couch … what kind of reading do you want to do?

Interesting question since I was “snowed in” last weekend and did a lot of catching up–both on the DVR and my reading list.  When it comes to curling up with a good book, I have to say it may depend on what’s due at the library first or what’s on my TBR list that I might finally say, “It’s about time I got to that.”  Of course, when you’re snowed in, the temptation is to finally take on that longer than usual book that you’ve been wanting to read for a while.  I know over the weekend one that I had on pile, “The Pillars of the Earth” crept up and called to me to start it.

  1. Yes I suppose reading those I’ll get to them eventually books would be good reading for winter. Good idea.

    Here’s my BTT Answer

  2. I have discovered my reading is not weather dependent. My BTT: http://www.bibliobabe.com/contest.php

  3. When a book calls, you’ve just got to comply.
    You’ll find mine here.

  4. My only requirement is that the book is plot-driven.

This is why I have tended to steer away from library books and choose to buy my own. I’m a slow reader so I’m always dictated by what is due first rather than what my mood is.
